"The change, which never changes #8"
After we finished all our surprises, Riya seems ok now. I planned to take her to a movie.
Movie, our only privacy spot when we were first committed, we frequently used to go to movies, so I thought it would be big relief for both of us and I thought we can recollect the memories we had together in the theaters. We went to the same theatre which we usually go and I booked corner seat as usual.
We sat in our seats and the first question Riya asked was, "When are we going to get married?"
Without even thinking I said, "Tomorrow". "I am ready from this moment onwards, If it is possible, we can marry here itself", I added.
When she said about marriage, suddenly I remembered about the ring. I thought when I am going to give her that ring. Why am I forgetting this? Ok we can give it to her very soon.
"What are you thinking Aahsiv", Riya questioned.
"About a surprise", I replied.
"Again", She said in a mocking tone.
I took my phone and showed a mail, which I received from the production house saying that they like my film and they are going to sponsor my story.
Riya froze in surprise, "What the......? Wow", Riya shouted.
Everyone in the theaters heard Riya's voice and turned towards us. Seeing Riya smiling everyone ignored us and she started talking, "Then, who is going to play your role? Have you decided or yet you need to decide about this?."
"Riya I need to tell something, but I don't how will you take this?", I struggled to tell her.
"If it is about your friends, they don't say anything now", Riya said in anger.
"Ok Riya I don't want to spoil the mood." I said and turned to see the movie.
Still Riya is angry with me and to break the silence I started talking to her, "Did you remember our first movie".
"Yes...", Riya said in a angry note.
"You shouted when I.......", I tried to finish the sentence and she closed my mouth with her hand.
"Stop it Aahsiv don't utter a word", After saying this Riya smiled by closing her mouth so that I shouldn't see her smiling.
I noticed that and said, "I don't know whether you remember or not, we broke up two week after my birthday and because of some heavy work I cannot able to meet you in person for two weeks. You said you are gonna gift me something when I return to home town. Can you please tell me what was that?."
"I have been waiting for months to ask this to you. And now only I got a chance to ask you. Can you please tell me about that?
When I asked this, Riya didn't reply for few minutes and she said, "I forgot Aahsiv, really I forgot about that. I don't remember what I had planned to give you."
I was shocked to hear this word from her. I got upset when she said this. I thought she was hiding something and she doesn't like to say that to me. I turned to see the movie and when I turned, I can't control my tears. Because it's not just like the other question. I longed to hear this from her. She didn't notice my tear and I managed to smile her back.
When I silently watched the movie, "You are watching the movie? You won't watch the movie in the theater when I am with you." Riya interrupted.
"The movie seems interesting Riya and that why...." I tried to finish but she interfered by telling, "Which means you lost interest in me? Am I right?".
"Riya not like that, I just surprised to hear that word from you, because I have been longing for two years to ask this question to you", I said.
"Sorry Aahsiv, I don't remember what I had planned to present you. Please forgive me dear", Riya begged.
"Ok it's ok anyway", I replied.
We both saw the movie silently. The things seem odd now, we have grown up and Riya has changed a lot and I too changed. We were stuck in fate's prey which everyone calls as "Maturity". We didn't have watched a full movie before. But it's the first we were watching a full movie by holding our hands together.
